Tohkomeupog Waterfront

Safety

The waterfront facility at Tohkomeupog is beautiful and one of the most popular places at camp. With that in mind, safety is the top priority. Certified lifeguards are present whenever campers are in or near the water. The lake is treated with the respect it deserves.

Swim Lessons

Tohkomeupog considers learning to swim a goal for every boy, so it is one of the few mandatory activities at camp. Lessons are conducted by camp counselors under the guidance of a certified Waterfront Director, and follow American Red Cross standards.

Free Swim

Afternoon free swim is a well-liked camp activity, especially during hot summer days. The water is always refreshing, and with access to a water trampoline, diving board, float, and rolling logs, there are ample opportunities to make a big splash!

Water Craft

Beyond the swimming area, the waterfront supports a variety of small water craft, including sailboats, rowboats, canoes, kayaks, and paddleboards. Skill learning occurs during morning activity periods, and general use is available during afternoon free swim.

Waterskiing

Across the lake at Sunset Beach, instruction is offered in waterskiing, wakeboarding and kneeboarding. Encouragement is provided with safety as a priority. Boys who prefer to stay on shore enjoy volleyball, sand play, fishing and swimming along the beach.
