Overview

Halloween Town is an annual tradition at Tohkomeupog, bringing thousands of visitors together each October for a one-of-a-kind trick-or-treat experience in the heart of New Hampshire’s Mount Washington Valley. First established in 2009, the event transforms the camp’s wooded grounds into a fantastical neighborhood of themed haunted cabins —a reminder of the classic, walkable Halloween that many of us remember from childhood. Best of all, every dollar raised supports The Laura Foundation for Autism & Epilepsy. Halloween Town is free to enter, family-friendly, and rain or shine.

What’s at Halloween Town

Trick-or-Treat Trail (4:00–8:00 PM) The heart of Halloween Town. A half-mile, atmospherically lit pathway winds through camp, connecting approximately 24 Halloween-themed cabins. Each cabin is transformed by volunteer “gHosts” with a unique spooky theme. Cabins grow progressively scarier along the trail — visitors can choose how far they dare to go. Candy, treats, and surprises are offered at every stop.

Halloweenie Walk (3:00–8:00 PM) Designed for the youngest trick-or-treaters and those who prefer fun over fright. Five cabins near the Food Court are decorated for delight rather than fear, and are appropriate for all ages. Also features the Tree-House Adventure.

Kid Carnival (3:00–8:00 PM) Located under the Big Tent, the carnival offers a variety of games — some just for fun, some with small prizes. Run by the Key Club at Kennett High School. Free to enjoy; all prizes are donated.

Amusement Rides (3:00–8:00 PM) The signature ride is the Dizzy Dragon, beloved by younger adventurers. Additional rides may appear as a yearly surprise. A small ticket fee applies; all proceeds benefit The Laura Foundation.

Food Court (3:00–8:00 PM) Plan to eat at Halloween Town. All food is donated by vendors, so 100% of sales go to The Laura Foundation. Menu includes burgers, hot dogs, chicken fingers, fried dough, apple crisp, and pizza — plus carnival favorites.

Live Music (4:00–8:00 PM) Local band Diana’s Bath Salts performs spooky (and not-so-spooky) favorites near the Food Court.
