Facilities
A variety of facilities are available through The Lodges at Tohkomeupog. Depending upon the type of event you are planning, we should be able to provide you with well-suited options. We have meeting spaces for group gatherings… and overnight accommodations for multi-day events. Sporting fields and activity areas are available, including a beautiful private waterfront. We are surrounded by acres of natural wilderness with hiking trails and remote camping possibilities.
Retreat Center:
The Lodges are comprised of four main dormitory-style buildings, each containing a number of guest rooms and meeting spaces. Some also contain kitchen facilities. Scattered about the main buildings are 20 individual cabins (rustic wooden structures with screened-in windows.)
Activity Areas:
Facilities at The Lodges are varied and versatile. We specialize in kids groups, with a focus towards outdoor fun, learning and adventure. Sporting areas include tennis, soccer, basketball and baseball. Other possibilities include archery, climbing and of course – the camp waterfront.
Camp Waterfront:
The camp waterfront is nestled along the shore of Purity Lake, a short walk from the Retreat Center. At the waterfront is moored an array of small craft, including: rowboats, canoes, kayaks and sailboats. The swimming area is clean and safe, with two permanent docks, a floating dock and a diving board.
Wilderness Areas:
The Lodges sit on about 1,000 acres of land, much of it wilderness. Seasonal experiences are available – hiking, snow-shoeing, fishing, camping, nature study and star-gazing, to name a few. Some campsites are remote, with access by foot on trail… or by canoe across the lake.
Danforth Bay:
The property of Danforth Bay Camping Resort is located in Freedom, NH – just a short drive on town roads… or a fun bike ride on back trails… from The Lodges. Danforth Bay is expansive, with hundreds of campsites, playing fields & open spaces, year-round bathhouses and lake access.
King Pine Ski Area:
The Lodges at Tohkomeupog is conveniently located near the base of King Pine Ski Area. With a variety of terrain for all abilities, King Pine is the perfect place to work on skiing & riding skills. Trained staff members in several departments coordinate to work on the snow sports merit badge.
